Nitišs / Neikšāns izcīna uzvaru Rally Liepāja ERC2 ieskaitē

FIA pasaules rallijkrosa čempionāta braucējs Reinis Nitišs ar stūrmani Māri Neikšānu nedēļas nogalē notikušajā FIA Eiropas rallija čempionāta posmā Rally Liepāja izcīnīja uzvaru ERC2 (N4 grupas spēkratu) ieskaitē.

Nikolay Gryazin wins season closing FIA ERC event Rally Liepāja

Drivers from Latvia and those competing with a Latvian Automobile Federation (LAF) licence had great results in Rally Liepāja, the final round of the 2017 FIA European Rally Championship. Sports Racing Technologies driver Nikolay Gryazin (LAF licence) got his first ERC victory, while Kalle Rovanpera (LAF licence) was second in his international rallying debut, and Lukasz Habaj from Poland got onto the third step of the podium. Reinis Nitišs (sixth overall) and Mārtiņš Sesks (eleventh) were the fastest of the Latvian drivers.

Civil helicopter accident during Rally Liepāja

Today, during Rally Liepāja there has been a civil helicopter crash near the SS11 finish. Rally rescue crews and medics close to the accident site were immediately deployed and were first to respond to the civil helicopter accident site, but has now given full responsibility of the crash site to the State rescue and law enforcement departments, taking care of all the rescue works.

Gryazin leads Rally Liepāja on his birthday, Kajetanowicz claims European Championship

With exciting stages in Liepāja and Alūksne region, day one of the FIA European Rally Championship round Rally Liepāja has concluded. The current leader is Nikolay Gryazin (Škoda Fabia R5, co-driven by Yaroslav Fedorov), who is competing with a racing licence issued by the Latvian Automobile Federation. The fastest Latvian crew – Jānis Vorobjovs / Ivo Pūķis (Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X) are currently seventh overall.
